Garment Care — Care and Love in Every Thread

Every LÉPNI garment is thoughtfully handcrafted using authentic Sambalpuri handloom. Each piece carries the character of the artisan’s craft, making it uniquely yours. With gentle care, your garment will remain beautiful for years to come. 

Washing

  • Hand wash separately in cold water for the first 2–3 washes.
  • Use a mild liquid detergent.
  • Do not bleach or use harsh chemicals.
  • Avoid soaking for more than 10 minutes.
  • Do not wring or scrub vigorously.

Drying

  • Dry in shade away from direct sunlight.
  • Turn the garment inside out before drying.
  • Do not tumble dry.

Ironing

  • Iron on medium heat.
  • Iron on the reverse side.
  • Steam ironing is recommended for the best finish.

 

Storage

  • Store in a cool, dry place.
  • Fold neatly to preserve the fabric.
  • Use breathable cotton garment bags for long-term storage.
  • Keep away from damp conditions.

Caring for Handloom

Authentic handloom fabrics may have slight variations in weave, texture, or colour. These are not imperfections—they are the signature of handcrafted excellence and reflect the individuality of every piece.
With every gentle wash, your LÉPNI garment becomes softer while retaining its timeless beauty.

A Note on Colours

Our garments are made using handwoven fabrics. Minor colour variations between batches are natural, and some colour transfer may occur during the first few washes. We recommend washing dark and bright shades separately.
